The military regime, which seized power in Myanmar during the coup on Feb. 1, 2021, announced elections will begin in December. Over four months since a devastating earthquake and four years since the 2021 coup, the humanitarian situation in Myanmar gets worse by the day. The regime in Naypyidaw focuses its efforts on an election later this year while 6.3 million people are still in urgent need of aid.
